Andrew Migdal, P. Eng., M.A. Sc.
Andrew holds a Bachelor and Master of Science in Metallurgical Engineering from the Czestochowa University of Technology (Poland) and a Master of Applied Science in Chemical Engineering from the École Polytechnique de Montréal (Canada).
With over 35 years of industrial experience, Andrew has held various managerial roles in manufacturing, engineering, and R&D. His expertise spans a wide range of fields, including materials science, heat treatment of alloys for the oil, aerospace, and automotive industries, metallography, non-destructive testing, and metallurgical consulting for process optimization and validation.
Andrew has been instrumental in developing coating processes and performance testing methodologies, with a particular focus on protective coatings for corrosion and erosion resistance—including polymeric, metallic, ceramic, and electroless nickel systems.
Known for his strong analytical and problem-solving skills, Andrew has led numerous troubleshooting and process enhancement initiatives, including customer complaint investigations, non-conformance analyses, CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions), and business process re-engineering.
He is also deeply committed to quality management, having served as a Quality Assurance Manager and Auditor. He has designed and implemented multiple Quality Management Systems compliant with ISO 9001 standards. In addition, Andrew is a Certified Peer Auditor (accredited by the Alberta Construction Safety Association) and has contributed to the development and implementation of Health & Safety Programs (COR certification).
